Interested in gaining more confidence with an overlocker?
We are excited to have Kate Marra from Sew Into Overlocking back again this year.
This one-day course gives students a greater understanding of their overlocker and allows them to continue using it at home confidently. The kit provided includes a comprehensive 23-page workbook and all fabrics required for the day.
The course covers four-thread and three-thread overlocking, tensions, differential feed, techniques for better results when stitching a circle, inside and outside corners, working with difficult fabrics and so many applications for rolled hem!
The cost for the day is $130, inclusive of $30 for the kit.
We have set a date of Saturday 2 September 2023 from 10 am to 3:30pm (pencil this into your dairies!) We are seeking expressions of interest now, and will confirm bookings and take payment in early August. (No money is required or taken now.) Full requirements list provided when booking confirmed.
One requirement worth knowing well in advance:
Students require their own overlocker—in good working order (having your machine serviced before class is advisable to avoid disappointment; if it’s not working properly you will not get the most out of the class.)
